The members of the ad-hoc commission are currently in La paz to initiate a process that will establish the maritime and Land borders between Équatorial Guinea and Cameroon. The meeting in La Paz aims to address potential border issues, establish boundary limits, and finalize a plan for the demarcation process. The Equatorial Guinea Minister of State, interior and local Administration , Faustino Ndong Esono Eyang, laid emphasis on the importance of the meeting, which was called for by the Presidents of both countries for cross border cooperation to resume. The Cameroonian delegation leader,Atanga Nji Paul stressed on the opportunity to strengthen historical and geographical ties between the two nations. The gathering included experts from both countries, as well as the Governor of the South Region of Cameroon and Ambassadors from both countries.
